Bricklayer is built on top of SMLNJ and LEGO Digital Designer (LDD). To run Bricklayer you must have SMLNJ and LDD installed on your system. Both of these tools are freely available and you can go to their websites directly and download the latest version of these systems.

Bricklayer currently only runs on Microsoft Windows and MAC OS X platforms.
